Course Information
General Participant Rules
- Minimum Age to Participate
- All Walkers and Survivors under the age of 18 require a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver form on race day. Should participants under 16 not have a form of photo ID, Parent/Guardian photo ID will be accepted.
- Walker tickets are available through online registration only. Walk-up purchases of Walker tickets will not be available on the day of the event.
- On the day of the event, Survivors and Walkers are expected to provide photo ID only. There are no hard tickets or confirmation printouts necessary.
- All participants are expected to be respectful, safe, and courteous on and off the course. The course was designed to create a fun experience; common sense applies.
- Absolutely no weapons allowed (real or otherwise).
- Costumes are allowed.
- Sensible footwear applies - close-toed shoes/sneakers strongly suggested.
- No handheld devices (cameras, video cameras, water bottles, etc.) are allowed on the course.
- Go-pro cams are allowed.
- All registrations are final with no refunds.
- All decisions by officials are final and binding.
- Any Participant who does not comply with the aforementioned rules will be banned from participation.
Survivor Rules
- Survivors are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to their wave times in order to register.
- The goal of the Survivor is to make it to the Evacuation Zone without any contact with Walkers as the Government believes infection can be spread by touch.
- We ask that Survivors do not “fight back” should you come in contact with a Walker. There is no point - you’re doomed anyways.
- Government Scientists will be waiting at the Evacuation Zone to perform a highly confidential scan to determine whether or not participants have been infected by the virus.
- If you come in contact with a Walker during the course, you will still be able to complete the course in its entirety.
- You must start with your registered Evacuation wave time in order to participate.
- Survivors must be 14 years of age on the date of the event to participate - no exceptions.
- Any Participant who does not comply with the aforementioned rules will be banned from participation.
Walker Rules
- The goal of the Walker is to haunt your assigned grounds as brutally and as brainlessly and brutally as possible.
- All Walkers receive professional makeup and training prior to their shift.
- Walkers must arrive 2 hours prior to their registered wave time for registration, makeup and training. No exceptions for late arrivals.
- Walkers will receive further instruction on what to wear, etc. via email correspondence from The Walking Dead Escape officials within a week of the event. This information is proprietary to Walkers prior to the event as to surprise and scare Survivors as much as possible.
- You must start with your registered shift in order to participate.
- Walkers must be 14 years of age on the date of the event to participate - no exceptions.
- Walkers can keep their makeup on after finishing their shift.
- Any Walker who does not comply with the aforementioned rules will be banned from participation.
Registration and Refund Policies
- All entries are final with no refunds.
- This rule applies for Survivors and Walkers.
Waiver
- Waivers will be available on Evacuation day during registration.
- Waivers must be signed and turned in at registration before Walkers and Survivors can participate.
